Biography and Education

Learner Information

Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?

Residents and faculty were extremely welcoming on interview day and genuinely passionate about fostering a positive and supportive residency environment. I was particularly interested in addiction medicine and UK's Pathways program which is a clinic dedicated to caring for women with substance use disorder during and after pregnancy is a one-of-a-kind program that residents get to learn from. The cherry on top is that Lexington is a perfect sized city for residency with plenty to do, but affordable and easy to navigate. Last, but not least, I couple's matched with my husband who was equally as excited about his program.

What do you like about your program?

The commitment everyone has to each other as well as to providing excellent patient care makes me excited to go to work every day. My co-residents make me laugh on a daily basis and keep me grounded even on the busiest/hardest days at work.

What are your hobbies?

Yoga (there's some great studios in Lex), going to breweries (Lexington has a TON), cooking, letting my cats rule my life, reading.
