On behalf of our Women’s Health Research Faculty, BIRCWH Directors would like to affirm that verbal attacks and threats of racial violence cannot be tolerated from both social justice and health perspectives. All forms of violence have significant physical, mental and spiritual health impact for all human beings. We must affirm our mission of care for all members of our university community.
The event that took place on the University campus does not align with the University’s mission as Kentucky’s flagship institution by playing a critical leadership role by promoting diversity, inclusion, economic development and human well-being.

Threats or violence are not tolerated and the behavior that surfaced from the perpetrator is not condoned. The safety and well-being of our community has been — and will continue to be — our top priority.

We have a commitment to treat every person, not only on the University’s campus, but in our communities near and far, with utmost worth and value.
